COMMUNITY

A Community of Caring.

“The heart that loves is always young.”
~ Greek Proverb

We stand out from the crowd because of the heart and soul of our organization—our employees. From personal care to cooks to management, we’re all members of local communities, working together like friends and family. We know our neighbors. We know where the best farm stands, butcher shops and fish markets are located. And we know where the best support services are for our seniors.

You want to be as active and independent as possible while receiving the support you need. That’s what we want, too. We help you maintain the daily activities you can manage on your own, and we’re also here to help when you need a little assistance.

Our Commitment to You

We provide exceptional personal care with a full range of services in a uniquely designed community environment of friends and extended family.

We respect your desire for privacy and autonomy while constantly being mindful of your safety, well-being, and desire for socialization and stimulating activities.

We encourage family and friend participation while maintaining the greatest respect for the confidentiality of your medical and personal information.

Our goal is to continually exceed the expectations of our residents, address the changing needs of our community, and strive to improve our performance each day.

The Salisbury Difference

We balance independence and support at a price that makes sense, giving seniors peace of mind and a space to thrive.

We offer creative and energetic social programs as well as customized geriatric fitness and strength training programs in our Fitness Zone.

Men’s and women’s salon services are available in Connie’s Cuts & Curls, and all of your personal needs and snacks are there for you in Nellie’s General Store. And in Shore House Bistro, three freshly prepared meals are offered daily.

Our many awards and recognitions demonstrate our success and make us a leader in the affordable assisted living industry.

We Are the Affordable
Living Alternative

No senior should have to choose between living alone in a vulnerable situation or being prematurely placed in a long-term care facility or nursing home because they can’t afford assisted living. We do our very best to operate in a manner that makes residential assisted living financially feasible.

We help direct veterans to the Veterans Aid & Attendance program and we maintain the most affordable private pay rates around.

Seasonal Splendor All Year Long

Spring

On the first warm day of spring, we gather our walking club members and get moving. In this season of renewal, we start planting seeds for our vegetable and flower gardens, and participate in Earth week awareness programs. Whether it’s Mardi Gras, St Patrick’s Day, or Cinco de Mayo, we’re ready for a celebration.

Summer

The flowers are blooming, the barbeque is fired up, the picnic umbrellas are open and the wicker chairs are on the decks. We quickly transistion to "summer resort mode” at Salisbury, which includes trips to the ice cream stand or down the street for “beach pizza.”

Fall

Fall colors mean harvest time from our vegetable garden, and everyone gets to reap the benefits with pumpkin pie and zucchini bread made by our Cooking Club. Autumn is also time for our nature lovers to prepare the bird feeders for winter.

Winter

The aroma of homemade soups, fresh peppermint tea, and your favorite casseroles warm even the coldest winter days. Families attend our multicourse gourmet holiday dinners, and we host holiday tree-decorating gatherings, the best holiday party, and live performances, all while the sounds of Andy, Bing, Dean and old-time Christmas shows fill the air. It’s the most wonderful time of the year indeed.
